Youth Fundamental Athletic Development

The Road to Strength – by definition:

The Road to Strength or RTS, is a Youth Fundamental Athletic Development program, or YFAD, that's been specifically designed to work with any and all athletes according to their current level of athleticism.

In the Road to Strength, athletes are given a functional movement and athletic based analysis to determine their starting level. Once a students current level of strength is determined, they are enrolled into the program and begin the developmental training process.

Each level has a certain progression method to advance the student to the next level of strength and fitness. Athletes are tested every 3-6 months depending on the current level they are enrolled in. Some levels may progress faster than others, while the more advance levels typically will require a longer length of time to progress from.

The goal of the Road to Strength is to create healthy, fully functional athletes, over the course of several years, fully maximizing each athletes potential, without sustaining the many common injuries and developmental problems so typically seen within young athletes.

Within strength training and athletic development, there are many roads an athlete may choose to take in order to achieve maximum potential. Unfortunately all to often the wrong path is chosen, and athletes are not performing at their best, and/or are suffering from nagging injuries and poor movement patterns that should have never existed in the first place.

RTS is here to change the world of YFAD as we know it! Take the high road for your athlete and take the Road to Strength!
